Laini grew up acting, dancing, writing and playing in the beautiful north suburbs of Chicago, surrounded by woods, lake and curiosity. She studied ballet and modern dance with Dance Center Evanston, played make believe with friends in the forest preserve close to her home, acted on the stage of the Children’s Theater of Winnetka, and taught Princess Party to 3-5 year olds with Skunkworks Dance Studio in Wilmette.

For the past three years, Laini has been studying with the Meisner Studio at NYU Tisch, and is excited to graduate this Fall, with a BFA in Drama and a minor in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies.

Laini is passionate about weird, freaky theater and seeks to create art that connects with audiences’ innermost freakazoid. She loves writing plays and is very proud to be workshopping her first full length play, The Dirty Ladiez of P&P, with staged readings in and around Manhattan this Summer.

Laini lives in the East Village with her two roommates Drew and Natalie; she loves staying up late to read weird plays with them at their kitchen table.
